Located in a completely forested and difficult to access area, the crypt was raised by Jósika Miklós for members of his family. The inscription on the frontispiece states the year of construction: PARENTI OPTIMO PIETAS PROCULIUM POSUIT ANO. MDCCCXXVII. This inscription was created by Cluj sculptor Hirschfeld Friedrich. The Jósika Family Crypt. According to tradition, the crypt was built on the site where Rákoczi Ferenc al II-a, together with Csáky István, took their last meal in Transylvania.
