With my clumsy fingers, I struggle to get the wire in place when crimping Dupont and other connectors. This design employs an alligator clip combined with a small printed component to position the wire correctly and hold it steady long enough to press the tabs over the insulation. Using needle-nosed pliers allows you to squeeze the tabs sufficiently to keep the wire and connector together, making it easy to position them in the crimper by simply holding the wire. Make sure the part is attached to the alligator clip jaw without a center tooth. This tooth must clamp onto the wire. This set includes parts designed to hold the following connectors: Male and female 2.54mm Dupont connectors Male and female 2.54mm JST-SM connectors Female 2.54 JST-XH connectors Additionally, handles are provided to attach to the alligator clip, preventing it from twisting and making the operation easier.
