Crimean bridge
cults3d
Hi all. I present to your attention a 3D model of the Crimean bridge. The model is made with an imitation of the sea on a pedestal. The pedestal is designed for the installation of a transparent plexiglass box with a thickness of no more than 2 mm. The model consists of 44 parts. Almost all details, except for the sea, the pedestal and the plate with the inscription, must be printed with 0.25 die. Of course, you can scale up the model and print with 0.4 die, but here you already think about how to divide and connect parts for assembly. The bridge itself has dimensions of 220x90x40 mm in size of the sea, 236x106x60 mm in size with a pedestal. I printed everything on a Prusa Original MK3S 3D printer. I recommend printing the sea by setting it on its side. It is better to divide the bridge supports into halves and glue them together after printing. The most difficult thing is to assemble the structure of bridge trusses. The curved part of the trusses (printed as flat) must be bent by hand and inserted into the guides of the side trusses, fixed with glue. You can also use an industrial hair dryer, but I bent without it - everything worked out. To print the railway and auto bridge, you need to apply the layer change function. For a car bridge from black to white, and for a railway bridge, white - copper - white. Due to the dimensions and proportions of the original, the lampposts are very small and were not included in the model. You can design and install them yourself, making them slightly larger than in kind. For greater effect, I recommend replacing the sea with a transparent epoxy resin, if you know how to do it.
