Cricut Pen/Marker Storage Inserts
prusaprinters
So my wife wanted a solution to store her Cricut markers and pens. 3D printing to the rescue, right?Well, she beat me to the punch and ordered an off-the-shelf marker organizer. It's actually pretty cool. It has a lid and accordion-style hinges so you can change the shape of it. The only problem with it is that the square holes were too big to hold a single Cricut pen upright and too small to put 2 markers per hole.As it turns out. the gray inserts were just a loose friction fit (I guess it's designed that way for cleaning or retrieving something that “fell through”), so I could just pop them out and model up and print replacements. These take about 10 hours each to print because of all the movements but well worth it. I have a model that is just for the marker/pens, and one that has a few slots to hold the new Cricut watercolor brush pens which are quite a bit thicker.I also included a blank insert for yall to remix into whatever. I'm thinking you could adapt one to hold all sorts of Cricut tools, or even non-cricut stuff. Happy remixing Here is a link to the manufacturer's product page:https://www.deflecto.com/product/consumer-products/storage-organization/expandable-marker-accordion/And here's an Amazon (US) link:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079ZGZD66?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_detailsIf you find this product elsewhere, in other countries perhaps, please leave a link in the comments to help others. Thanks! Also, if anyone feels like modeling the bottom part, which could totally be 3d printed as well, let me know and I can share the precise measurements.
