Cricut Maker Rubber Roller Retention Ring
thingiverse
The Cricut Maker rubber rollers tend to walk out of position over time. This simple retention clip will keep those rubber rollers in place. Print and assemble two and install on either side of the rubber roller. The retention clips have a thin rib on the inside to fit within a recess groove on the Cricut Maker metal roller shaft. I used 1mm diameter music wire to create the "spring" on the backside of this part. The metal ring prevents the plastic clip from relaxing over time. I bent the wire around a ~9mm diameter rod (a screwdriver). With springback, the wire inside diameter was just under 10mm and this worked well for assembling with the printed part and for snapping onto the Cricut Roller Shaft. I cut the length of the wire using wire snips and the printed part as a guide.
