Cricut Explore Air Fine Sharpie Adapter
thingiverse
This design enables the use of a fine-tipped Sharpie pen with the Cricut Explore air. It is based on the OEM Cricut pen adapter, modified slightly for dimensional changes. Make sure to prime the pen by scribbling on scrap paper before starting the project, as seen in the picture. Otherwise, the first few centimeters will be blank of ink. The line weight can be adjusted by changing the material thickness dial on the Cricut. The image shows the dial set to "Paper", which is the second thinnest setting. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Simple Black Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 100% Notes: Printed with leaf spring fingers pointing upwards. The file takes about one hour to print at a resolution of 0.3mm. Post-Printing: Some light scraping with an exacto knife may be necessary to clean up the part. I Designed This Originally created in Solidworks, this design was later migrated to Fusion 360.
