Ultrasonic transducers can fail in a variety of ways. Operating an ultrasonic machine at the wrong fluid level, without fluid or disturbing the solution while operating can cause unwanted feedback into the ultrasonic transducers. This can crack transducer magnets and cause fracture lines in the stainless steel transducer plates used in the construction of the transducers. These problems are mainly attributed to misuse of the ultrasonic machine by inexperienced operators. This is a clone of the transducer plates used in consumer - mid level Crest Ultrasonic Machines. The dimensions are exact. The material used was 18-8 Stainless Steel Shim Stock, 0.0100in Thick from McMaster-Carr. I waterjet an array of plates out of an 8" x 12" Sheet.
