Human beings understand that ship design has two fundamental principles for freighters: carrying goods and not blowing up. It's no surprise that Lambda's original Creons weren't very good at staying intact after leaving the shipyard. Apparently, having high-yield weapons doesn't make a difference if enemies can reach you in mere seconds. With the Creon mark .12, Lambda opted to remove the high-yield weapons and instead installed a class two battleship engine and thermal dissipators on its hull. This design change allowed the Creon to travel 31% faster, leaving fighter pirates stunned when their prey outran them.
