This was indeed a PrintChallenge. The only real problem I had was printing the main gear shaft. I first split it vertically to print it horizontally, but the two sides were not symmetrical enough to fit into the base. Printing vertically worked better, but it was too tall and kept wobbling as the hot end reached the top third causing some warping. Finally I split the shaft horizontally in the middle between one of the double gears and was able to get a good print. Glued in place on the base and worked great. I added posts with M3 heat inserts to the lid and mounting holes in the base to make it more secure. I also added the missing slot for the back right leg gear on the base that was incomplete (see figure above). Added my own style crank and legs, but that was just for my tastes. Use if you like. Over all, a fun and very challenging project. Planning to remake this using bearings and steel rods as the action is a bit stiff. Thanks for this superb model PrintChallenge, where ever you are.
