Creepy headless statue

I see this statue every time I visit the Romanescu Park in my hometown of Craiova, Romania. It's been standing tall for over a century, as evidenced by the mark on its hand - 1888 is quite an old date. Another one nearby has a head that I'll be working on with photogrammetry soon, capturing every detail of this historic landmark.
