Creepy Eyes
thingiverse
My son wanted to be a spider for Halloween, so I 3D printed some LED-lit eyes. I designed them in Fusion 360 and printed them using my dual extruder MakerGear M2. The eye can be lit with a 3mm LED and a CR1620 watch battery - no additional electronics are needed. I loved them so much that I created an even creepier version for myself. The base can be sewn to fabric using the recesses in the base. I printed the base dual extruded with black ABS and HIPS as a support material, which was later dissolved away. I uploaded the models to Thingiverse. Note: 3mm LED and CR1620 watch battery required for lighting Eye models and iris can be dual extruded or printed separately and attached later. Base should work with breakaway support as well, but may require some sanding as it's a tight fit.
