Creator Pro Filament Guide with optical filament switch sensors
thingiverse
This is a filament runout detector for the Creator Pro, I opted for this option instead of using phisical switches because I work with very flexible filaments like Ninjaflex that are very incovinient to try to push over a phisical switch. I'm using two generic IR sensors (like: https://www.amazon.it/WINGONEER-Printer-Mechanical-Optical-Makerbot/dp/B077X8XL56/ref=sr_1_6?__mk_it_IT=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&crid=3EHT5K9OB4WJK&keywords=ir+endstop&qid=1658998089&sprefix=ir+endstop%2Caps%2C71&sr=8-6) with the black plastic cover removed and they are connected to the motherboard on the Zmax connector and PK4 pin (I'm already uing all the others endstops connectors for other additions, but you can use another endstop connector if you have it free). They are powered from the 5V line (that you can take from the endstop connector by following the schematic). I'm currently running klipper but they should be configurable under marlin too. Screw the sensors to the holder by using M3x20 Screws.
