Creative Photo Aperture/Bokeh Maker
thingiverse
This is a simple way to create custom aperture filters that fit into standard camera filter mounts. The STL examples provided are for common Cokin P holders, but you can easily adjust the size to accommodate other mounts or holders as needed. These custom filters could also be used as makeshift light gobos, although it's essential to note that most 3D printing materials aren't heat-resistant enough for use with incandescent lights. However, they should work well with LED lighting setups. If you don't print your filters using black filament or resin, consider spraying the back of the filter with matte black paint to minimize stray light transmission and reflection. The example photos shown are simply a string of Christmas lights arranged on a cookie sheet, with some cleanup applied in Adobe Camera Raw for visual effect.
