Creality Spool Holder
thingiverse
No additional hardware required. Various spool holders have been seen, but my version is presented here. It's a Side Spool Holder 90degree that will create a negative 30 degree version if requested, with the only issue being a slight reduction in maximum print size. The original T-slot nut from the spool holder must be used to mount the spool holder arm. The mount then slots into the end of the extrusion using T-slot bars. Most spool holders are mounted on top, which tends to cause filament binding in the extruder. Other designs pull the filament upwards from the bottom, adding drag on the spool. People print bearing spool holders to help with this issue. This mount allows the filament to be pulled downwards towards the extruder without binding or the need for a filament feeder arm. Two variants exist: The first has a logo and hollow top for material saving. The second is solid, without a logo, but also features a tighter fit. Ensure that the screws on top are tightened down tightly. This mount will slide over the bolt using the bolt to clamp the T-slots in place, resulting in a very sturdy assembly with no movement.
