Creality Sonic Pad Wire Shelf Mount
thingiverse
My printers live on a wire shelf in my office, and I needed a way to mount my Sonic Pad outside of the Creality enclosure that my Ender 3 S1 Pro is in. I found a mount that someone designed (and is [selling for $1.43 on Etsy](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1414029409/creality-sonic-pad-mount-stl-for?) as I write this) that I liked and built a system that allows it to work on my wire shelves. First: I started with [this model from ZmadeDesign on Etsy](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1414029409/creality-sonic-pad-mount-stl-for?). You'll need to either buy his files or make your own mount to fit the three pins on my mount. But the $1.43 he's charging was way easier than making my own. I discarded everything in his mount except the Sonic Pad holder itself. The rest of the mount is basically a clip-on bracket that clips to the front of a wire shelf and then has two arms that mount to a pad that rests under the shelf wires to allow the rest of the mount to cantilever off the front. The pad mounts to an arm that slides into a cylinder to allow some adjustment. It can sit horizontally or angle up or down based on how you rotate the cylinder in the socket. That way, it could mount on a shelf above or below your eye level and still work. A printed, removable snap-in pin retains the mounting arm. The beauty of ZmadeDesign's mount is that you don't have to remove the legs from the Sonic Pad, but it is still retained securely while being easily removable, at least in the upward orientation that I use it; if you angle it downward, you probably want to figure something else out. The components are all fastened together by either #4-40 (shelf pad and arms) or #6-32 (sonic pad holder to the arm) screws 'cause 'Murica. But I'm sure M2 and M3 screws and inserts will work fine, probably without even changing the hole or slot chamfers. I glued (CA) ZmadeDesign's holder to the three mounting pins on my mount. I've been using the final version for over three weeks now without trouble.
