Creality Power Supply 5015 Fan Mod
thingiverse
*Are you on a mission trying to make your Creality printer as silent as possible?* *Annoyed by how noisy your Creality PSU fan is?* *Have an Ender 3 S1 and don't want to do crazy chassis mods to fit in larger fans?* *Recently upgraded your cooling or hot end fans and have some extra fans leftover?* *Want to be able to control your PSU fan speed?* --- ### Here's a design that does all the above by swapping out the loud axial 60mm fan with a 5015 radial fan. This mod has the advantage of having air pass over the power supply's main MOSFETs in a more direct and focused manner compared to stock where the fan blows air straight into the circuit board. All you need is: - a Creality PSU (obvious) - a 24V 5015 fan - heat-resistant filament - a LM2596 DC-DC buck converter (optional) There are two versions available, one that supports a "standard" LM2596 board and one without. Choose the one that works for you best. Also an important thing to note: **Opening a power supply is inherently dangerous due to the potential high voltages contained within! Do not modify your power supply if you are not comfortable doing so! Use of this design is beyond my control and I am not responsible for what happens if you choose to use it.**
