Creality Hotend Fan Mount

The hot end fan on the Creality printers has two major drawbacks in my opinion. First, the shroud blocks the nozzle making it difficult to assess the first layer quality. This also causes part cooling fans a hard time getting airflow to the print. Second, the airflow from the heatsink fan ends up exhausting over the print providing additional cooling. While this is beneficial if you don't have a part cooling fan it limits your ability to separately control the airflows. Something you may want to do for certain materials. The fan mount I designed uses two axial fans in a push-pull configuration to cool the heat sink and two blower fans to cool the print. This requires modifying the wiring loom of the hotend to add additional fans in parallel but it was relatively easy since I already had both fans mounted through plugs. This design should still work fine with just a single fan if you don't wish to undertake this modification. The blower fans are angled inward and slightly backward so they don't require an additional shroud allowing for maximum airflow. If you wish to you could add additional shrouds to better angle the airflow. Mounted on the X-carriage used the original mounting points.
