Creality Hot End Cooler & Extruder Bracket
thingiverse
The Nema Extruder Bracket provides effortless access to the Nema, eliminating the need for a filament guide. It also enables an extruder to be partially assembled before fitting it to the printer. After several months of testing, I have used it daily with no issues at all. I no longer have to fumble behind the Z-axis screw. The cooler features an open design that provides easy access to the print as it's being printed. The fans clip in and require no screws. The front fan swivels out of the way when needed. I can now check the temperature of the radiator as it prints, and it never exceeds warm using a standard 40mm fan. Part cooling is excellent through the built-in duct. It attaches to the existing bracket with existing screws. The cooler is removable without removing the Hot End. Cable management is built into the design along with a cable clamp. There's room to add an ABL if required, using your own bracket. I have used these items every day for several months with no issues at all and find them indispensable. They make changing the Hot End a breeze, and I now tend to change the whole Hot End when using a different size nozzle. If you decide to use these items, I'd appreciate any feedback or suggestions to improve the designs. Printed on a Creality CR-10. Designed in Rhino Mac and sliced in Simplify 3D. Allow several hours to print and an hour to fit. Images show required support.
