Creality Ender extended spool holder
thingiverse
Like many others, I bought 2.2KG filament spools and could not fit them on the spool holder that came with my Creality Ender 5. I could not find a simple solution for a bigger spool holder. Others have created extenders but my spool holder does not have a thread at the end. I also do not need ball bearings or have special requirements. I created this simple solution that fits all the spools that I have from the regular 750g (80mm wide) to the 2.2kg (100mm wide). I made this for an Ender 5 but I believe it will fit most Creality printers. The screw has a diameter of 30mm. As long as that matches the size of the hole in your metal bracket, it should work. You will need to print the holder part twice (left and right) and every other part once. The lock nut for the outside holder is optional. Note the screw is meant to be printed sideways (flat) as to give the part maximum strength. I printed everything using the 2.2kg ecoPLA with 20% infill and it is very strong. No support required. The question is...What was holding my filament spool while I was printing the spool holder!!!
