Creality Ender 5, Four to Three Levelers Conversion
thingiverse
The Ender 5 is a capable printer, but one significant limitation that has hindered my quest for high-quality prints, similar to those I achieve on my FFCP, is the more intricate leveling system. True, I have managed to produce good quality prints using a BLTouch, but I sought to simplify the entire process. As a result, I created this simplified system. To assemble it, print out all the components (one beam, two adapters). Remove the front two rotating levelers and insert the adapters through the triangular slot as depicted, with the projection aligned down the side featuring a flat surface. Next, use M2 screws secured by an M3 bolt (to prevent slippage) to firmly place it in position. It's worth noting that I initially used an M3 bolt but switched to an M2 screw due to issues with my 0.8 mm nozzle producing subpar prints. I employed a hot glue gun to first stabilize the projecting part of the adapter to the flat surface portion of the leveler, allowing it to dry before repeating the process on the curved side of the leveler. This modified system mechanically enables the levelers to move at roughly the same rate, as determined by my control over the dimensions. This design fits seamlessly onto my printer and performs its intended function. If anyone desires an update for a specific bolt size or other modifications, I can easily create a remix without much effort. Please let me know if you have any suggestions for improvement.
