I run Octoprint on a Raspberry Pi 3 with an added Logitech webcam for future long-term prints. The common dimensions of this old webcam fit perfectly into my setup. The base measures 18mm in length, 64mm wide and 3.3mm thick, making it ideal for the task at hand. I positioned the view right at bed level, capturing a clear picture (see attached photo). However, the camera has a slightly angled view, which may need some adjustment in the future. This was just a beta design to test the waters, so feel free to use and modify it as you see fit. In my next update, I plan on designing a clamp that attaches to the 3rd section of the camera for more precise adjustments. For those wondering how I got this old camera working with my Raspberry Pi 3, rest assured it was a breeze - just plug in the USB cable and enable the camera settings in config. The fact that this is an older model (5-7 years old) made no difference whatsoever.
