Creality ender 3 v3 se hot end fan mount (convert from 25mm to 40mm fan)
thingiverse
DESCRIPTION:This is my take on replacing a stock fan with a 40mm one, making the printer a lot quieter. The difference from other models is that it does not take stock 25mm fan screws but slides over the heat sink and that allows it to have a bigger area for air to move and easier to remove.MOUNTING:You will need screws for the 40mm fan to shroud. It takes m3 and the length depends on what fan you are mounting, for 40x20 fan you will need m3x30, and for 40x10 m3x20. The flat side of the print is going up (under the extruder). The holes for the fan are 2.7 mm and are meant to be self-tapping, I like to pre-tap them before I mount the fan.I am using a 40x20 sunon maglev fan that is a high-pressure fan and I mount it to pull from the heat sink. You can put it like a factory to push air and it will make very little difference I just prefer it like this and there is a lot of blocking behind a heat sink so I mounted it to pull.I printed it a in PET-G and I am still testing it. Since we have a bigger fan it should be able to keep the plastic around the heat sink cold.PRINTING:Print it lying flat on the 40 mm fan side with a 0.2 resolution. Use PET-G or something more heat-resistant.For the version with screws, I recommend these 2 models: https://www.printables.com/model/718283-ender-3-v3-se-25-40mm-fan-bracket-low-profilehttps://www.printables.com/model/651711-ender-3-v3-se-25mm-to-40mm-fan-shroudDISCLAIMER:Do this mod at your own risk. I am not taking responsibility if you damage your printer or hurt yourself.
