I mounted my spool right next to my printer with a few simple prints nearby. The only problem is that the spool began to sag forward, causing it to rub against the extruder. This issue held up the printing process, but it was also easy to load and unload the spool whenever needed. I also added a small hook to securely hold the filament clip in place.
