Creality Ender 3 - PSU fan improvement
thingiverse
To make my Ender 3 a little more silent i tried one of these PSU fan ducts. Even if they are called "silencer" it made it even louder cause the air has to be pushed throu the duct too and that makes some noise. So i decided to just move the fan from the inside to the outside. That really makes a big difference cause the reason why the PSU is so noisy is the metal case and the resonance of it. You can even use the original screws. If you want to make your printer real silent, you have to change the fan into a silent one. I also cutted the metal grid off cause the air running throu it might make a sound too. It doesn't look very nice with the fan outside so I designed two covers. CAUTION!!! If you are changing the fan from inside to outside you have to open the case of the PSU. If you are not familiar to high voltages you should better NOT DO THAT! That's something for authorized persons only. Good printing everyone! :-) P.S. Have a look in my "Ender 3 Mods" Collection if you are interessted in amazing mods from other designers.
