40mm Fans PTEG or ABS filament is recommended due to its high temperature tolerance. Supports are necessary and can be challenging to remove. 100% infill is required for a solid print. Please post your prints if you decide to make this design. Design Notes: The hot end mounts directly to the carriage, eliminating any plastic barriers. A 40mm Noctua fan is a viable option; however, Sunon fans are more powerful and quieter when controlled at low speeds. Airflow around the nozzle is strong. M4 x 30mm bolts are required for mounting all fans if using 20mm thick models. For thinner fans, consider the 10mm grip on the plastic mount.
