I designed a box inspired by Hangtight's stand, specifically its front face design, which I thought was really cool. Since I needed something that could be mounted in the front of my enclosure, I took cues from the Ultimaker S3/5 LCD placement and created a box to match. To minimize support material, I printed the box with the face facing down. This way, I only needed supports for the intricate design grooves on the front. The back plate was printed in an upright position so that layer lines would help reinforce the small tabs when they bend. To ensure they didn't break, I used tree supports only at the bottom of the tabs. For a more secure fit, the knob part has an oval shape to accommodate the metal knob, which will be covered by a cap anyway. If your printer isn't incredibly precise like mine – mainly due to printing with cheap generic ABS – you might want to consider reducing the back plate size by 2% and printing it at 98% scale.
