This tool holder enables users to thoroughly inspect the printer nozzle and feed tube for any signs of blockage. The fully illuminated 'hotend' by white LED's makes necessary checks straightforward, while a clear view into the feed tube allows for easy identification of potential issues once the printer nozzle is removed. The battery case is designed with 14mm sq. clips in mind, which are readily available at various stores such as Amazon and eBay. These clips complete the battery circuit by combining spring contacts and plate contacts. A switch cut-out measuring 9mm x 4mm accommodates miniature slider switches from stores like eBay and Amazon. The LED's used are 5mm dia. white types with a forward voltage of 3 to 3.3-volts, eliminating the need for current limiting resistors. They are connected using strip Veroboard, ensuring a secure soldering process. A 1.5" sq. mirror is held in place by double-sided tape and can be obtained from any craft supplier store. This design makes checking the 3D print head significantly easier, allowing users to inspect the hotend chamber for blockages or build-up of PLA once the print nozzle is removed.
