Creality Ender 3 fan duct
thingiverse
I install a BLtouch sensor directly inside the fan shroud on my stock Ender 3 or CR-10 to get it as close as possible to the nozzle. My part cooling duct is designed specifically to accept a Sunon 5020 GB1205PKV3-8AY Maglev blower fan, ensuring excellent airflow and quiet operation along with extended lifespan. To prevent overheating, the duct blocks the heatsink fan from blowing directly on the printed object when using non-PLA materials. I print this part in PETG with supports only for the fan mount on a glass bed using my heavily upgraded Ender 3. Included is a printable drill guide that fits over the stock fan shroud to simplify drilling mounting holes for the BLtouch sensor. This design started as a duct found on Thingiverse, but it has been extensively modified that I'm not sure what remains of the original. To make it work properly, I'll need to adjust my firmware settings to control the fan since it only operates at 12 volts. Initially, I set my maximum fan speed to 128 instead of the standard 255, as this corresponds to a 12-volt setting.
