Creality Ender 3 - Dual Noctua Fan Extruder Housing
thingiverse
This extruder is comprised of two primary components: the Housing and Lid. The Lid serves as a small attachment to secure the Housing together. My intention behind creating this extruder was to design one that would be compatible with the original heating element, while also being minimalist in nature. Additionally, I aimed to accommodate two Noctua silent fans for both the part and heater, opting instead for two Noiseblocker fans. This extruder offers several key features: - Utilizes the Creality Ender 3 original heater - Allows for the installation of a 20x20x10 mm fan on the heater - Enables the fitting of a 20x20x10 mm fan on the part - Facilitates easy cabling - Simplifies mounting through the use of existing holes To print this extruder, I recommend using a nozzle size of 0.4 mm with a layer height of 0.1 mm. The "in-part" support is integrated into the design, and it's essential to print the extruder upright with at least 10mm brim. A raft is also hardcoded into the design, which should be removed along with any support material after printing. For optimal results, I suggest sanding the underneath of the printed extruder for a smooth finish, using cooling, and printing slowly. My personal experience has shown that this extruder can handle high temperatures without deforming, even when used to print ABS at 260 degrees Celsius in PLA.
