Creality Ender 3 Dial Indicator Mount
thingiverse
This is a universal dial indicator mount compatible with the Creality Ender 3 as well as the CR-10, since they share identical extruder housing designs. You'll need two M3 screws, two M3 nuts, and a budget-friendly dial indicator to assemble it. I acquired this one from Amazon for $15: https://www.amazon.com/Triton-Indicator-0-001-Graduation-Travel/dp/B016R3GLB0/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=dial+indicator&qid=1550335379&s=gateway&sr=8-5 To utilize this setup, start by auto-homing, then use a piece of cardstock to calibrate one corner of the bed. Next, manually lift the z-axis approximately 0.5 inches and secure the dial indicator in place. After that, you can level each corner based on the initial corner's reading. This method has significantly reduced print failures for me and speeds up leveling, making it more accurate than traditional cardstock methods.
