Creality Ender 3 CR-10 Z axis park
thingiverse
If the Z axis is perfectly aligned and the v-slot wheels are adjusted precisely, the X gantry will gently fall into place with minimal resistance. This setup allows you to securely park the X gantry when the printer is powered off, and it will automatically release as soon as the first auto-home command is initiated. To ensure proper alignment, the catch needs to be positioned high enough so that it catches the gantry before the nozzle touches the bed, but low enough that when released, the nozzles can touch the bed without hitting the X gantry. UPDATE: Version 2 of the design has been uploaded. The mechanical hinge replaces the live hinge, eliminating issues with PETG deformation. The new arm employs an M5 screw or set screw as a counterweight and an M3x16mm as a hinge. Be cautious not to overtighten the M3 screw, allowing the arm to move freely for optimal performance.
