Creality Ender 3/5/CR10 Filament Spool Retention Clip
thingiverse
I had my printer sitting on a short table and I needed to take a look underneath the bed, so without hesitation, I tilted it back, causing the filament spool to fall off the holder. As a result of this careless mistake, the filament guide I had installed snapped off, leaving approximately 75 kilometers of filament to unwind from the spool and scatter everywhere. It was astonishing how such a simple error could turn into a major headache. This handy little snap-on clip prevents that kind of disaster from happening again. My printer is an Ender 3 Pro, but it should be compatible with at least the Ender 5 and CR10's spool holders, since they are identical, and possibly some other Creality models. If you're unsure, use a caliper to check if the outside diameter of the main body of the spool holder tube is ~30mm: if so, this clip will work with it. After snapping it on, turn it as shown in the picture for maximum stability.
