Very simple really. They fit around the rubber blocks used for feet and add more height. I've ordered some stick on rubber pads to put on the bottom to stop any slipping. I wanted something solid and not squash-balls etc as the printer is not loud and I don't want to introduce any swaying. I used a decent amount of infill for strength and vibration absorption.
