Creality CR10V2 Direct Drive Bracket
thingiverse
This is my design of a bracket to convert the Creality CR10V2 into a Direct Drive setup. Move the extruder to this bracket, extend the wires and install 2 bolts/nuts to secure it to the carriage. If you have a BTT Filament Sensor, I also have a version of the bracket to secure that. As seen in my assembly picture, I've drilled and tapped a 6mm hole in the extruder arm to insert the bowden tube that comes with the BTT sensor. Printing: Printing extruder mounting face down uses less filament due to not needing much supports, but the strength is reduced in the rear clamp area that curves behind/below the carriage. Printing on its side gets the best strength. On the simplified bracket, I've also made the clamp just a small lip that keeps the back of the bracket down. It is enough as this area doesn't see much forces and only keeps the bracket from moving about during retractions.
