creality cr10s pro - upgrade/direkt drive

It works perfectly fine. Extending the stepper motor cable, drilling a few holes... What's going on with the Z-axis on this printer of mine? After every print job, the right side is 2-3 mm higher and needs to be re-adjusted again. Apparently, the stepping motors aren't working in sync (according to what I've read online). Do any of you guys experience similar issues? Can anything be done about it?
