Creality CR10s Pro HorseShoe Cooling Duct
thingiverse
This is my original design specifically created for the Creality CR-10s-Pro! I modeled it using OnShape, which shares similarities with SolidWorks. There are many great designs available for this printer already, but I encountered several issues with some of them. These issues include: 1. Some only blow air on one side of the nozzle. 2. Some provide good airflow on both sides but block the nozzle's view mostly. 3. Some interfere with the ABL (Auto-Bed Leveling) due to their size and footprint. 4. Some are too close to the nozzle block, which causes them to melt over time. 5. Some require a complete switch from stock for use. 6. Some lack two mounting points, making them prone to easy removal. I addressed all these issues in my air duct design. It has a low footprint that doesn't interfere with ABL, provides adequate clearance to prevent melting, and offers airflow from all sides of the nozzle to enhance part cooling. This part does not need any modifications to the stock hot end configuration of the CR-10s Pro (two longer M3 mounting screws are required) and features two mounting points for secure placement. I am seeking testers to assess how this duct performs under various Creality variations and identify any potential issues. Printing: I suggest using PLA or PET-G, a 0.2 layer height, 20% infill, and no supports needed. Print the initial few layers at a slow speed with two outer perimeter shells.
