The way the original orientation was, the layer direction for the threaded section was not optimal. The way I have oriented it, means that you need to have supports enabled, and the supports inside the threaded section are a little fiddly to remove... but the result is excellent. This is an awesome mod. I've had problems with my tube from day one. Thanks for sharing this! UPDATE: 22/10/2020: Added a spanner to tighten the nut. Doing it up by hand wasn't getting it quite tight enough and the tube started to slip. Tighten it a little more with the spanner and its perfect. Just finished 25 hour print and no slippage at all. UPDATE: 27/04/2021: I had to print a new block for my own use as one of the threaded points broke off. The block was still working with the broken piece, but I thought it best to print a new one. I modified the STL file before printing, based on some issues I had using the block, and printing the previous block. 1. I rotated the threaded section approximately 45 degrees to remove the need for one of the4 supports to be printed. 2. I extended th length of the section before the thread approximately 2.5 mm 3. I smoothed the internal section where the filament goes through so the filament doesn't catch on the way through. The new block is labelled (new) in the file list. You can print either, but I feel the new one will be better to both print and use.
