Creality CR10 Ender 3 Pro Strain Relief Bowden PTFE Tube HotEnd Holder Fixation
thingiverse
Hej fellow Makers! My brand new, unmodded Ender-3 with its standard parts had a massive bowden tube slipping issue that drove me crazy. During long print jobs, the PTFE tube started sliding out of the hotend quietly, causing molten filament to ooze out at weird points. I marked the tube with a waterproof marker right above the fitting so I could keep an eye on its position inside the hotend. The tube's end tip used to sit right next to the nozzle within the heatbreak/hotend without any gap in between. Even a bowden tube clip (www.thingiverse.com/thing:936611) didn't work well for me. Unbelievably silly reason: It turned out that the tiny little holding claws inside the original pneumatic fitting were just too weak! Thanks to Creality for using high-quality parts at critical points. So I designed a printable holder to fix this problem and relieve the tube's momentum from the carriage movement. Just remove the fan shroud and hotend. Release the screw of the right sliding wheel to mount the holder in between. All you need is a small cable tie to secure the tube inside the holder. Press it firmly against the side as shown in the photos. Hopefully, all tube slipping issues will be solved! It should also fit similar hotends from the CR10 family. The attachment of this strain relief is also recommended as a precautionary measure. Enjoy! If you have an improvement proposal, please leave a comment.
