UPDATE: Update on the quick attachable version of the bucket v3.0 for a clearance issue. A new Cura Tool change code is now available. Someone kindly pointed out that I forgot to put a slot in the v3.0 to allow it to slide on, which was a slight oversight on my part. I created a new version 3.0 that should make installation easier, using 4 - M3 x 16 mm Socket Head Cap screws and 4 M3 hex nuts. This purge bucket for the Creality CR-X eliminates the need for a purge tower, reducing waste up to 66% and printing at least 33% faster. The tabs at the base allow for tying a waste bag in place. No firmware upgrade is required; just insert the custom gcode into your slicer, and the start code, tool change code, and end code will take care of everything. Priming the nozzle and purging colors are also taken care of. Comments in the code explain what each line does, and I have it tuned well now, but if there are any issues you can always adjust feed, retractions, purging, and priming distances. I added the Simplify3D profile with the files. On the advanced tab in Simplify3d, disable tool retractions by setting all values to zero. Tool changes in Simplify3d work mainly through these settings, assuming a 2-nozzle setup is used. The custom tool change script runs in addition to their tool change script, so zeroing everything out guarantees that only the custom tool change script will run. ANY TOOL CHANGES HANDLED IN CUSTOM FIRMWARE SUCH AS TINY MACHINES WILL NOT WORK WITH THE CUSTOM GCODE!!!! To replace top screws and nuts on x gantry wheels, requires M5 x 25 mm screws and M5 hex nuts, along with lock tight.
