Creality CR-X Extended Feet
thingiverse
I don't know why Creality thought it necessary to put a fully enclosed electronics case so close to the ground, but I didn't like it on my CR-X at all. So I looked through Thingiverse, but since there is so little support for the CR-X, and I didn't really like what few models I saw, I figured I'd just draw up my own. 3 minutes later in TinkerCad, and here we are. These feet are 45mm tall, use the existing mounting bolts, and existing mounting holes. There is no need to remove the pan to install these. You literally unbolt the old ones, insert the bolt into these, and bolt them right back into place. You can see the height difference in the pics. I printed these on my Ender 3 using Cura, with SainSmart TPU (95a), and 40% infill. I originally tried 30%, and while it worked fine, I felt the printer might "sway" too much if there were a lot of short, sudden movements, so I bumped it up to 40%. These feel firm, yet still soft enough to absorb any vibrations that the printer might make.
