> IMPORTANT NOTE > This project is more like a proof of concept and a base for more complex supports. > Please note that as the bracket is pointing downwards, it may hit your bed fixations if your print is near the borders. You can also try with slimmer fans. A part cooler fan support, to replace the internal 40x40x10 with an external 40x40x20. My main objective is to try to lower the sound produced by the stock fans. You can find the FreeCAD project in the files if you want to customize it. You can also check jpmary's remix, who have designed some tweaks off the roadmap: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4657381 Hardware: - Fan: Sunon EB40202S2-999, 40x40x20mm, 24VDC, 0.8W, 13m3/h, 6200RPM - Screws: M4x30mm DIN7991 for the fan and its support, M2 screws with washers for the fixation to the metallic case. - Inserts: Ruthex M4 IMPORTANT NOTE: to replace fans, as their plugs are glued, it's easier to cut the wires and solder them to your new fans. To simplify the tests and replacements, you can also install JST connectors (I used 2 pins JST XHP 2.54mm). On the original fan, the yellow wire is positive, and blue is negative. This is a work in progress and still an experimental project. I'm still finetunning my models. But I've mount it on my printer to test it further.
