This remix of mdiez's part for my CR-10S has been a game-changer, especially when using Ikea mirror tiles on the bed instead of the standard glass. The mirrors are shorter in height, which makes this modification necessary. When printing with the LOTS (4 tiles per package) from Ikea, I noticed that the right hand side carriage was barely touching the z-axis servo motor top mount. To resolve this issue, I shaved off a significant amount of material to reduce the bed height slightly. This solution is particularly useful when working with mirror tiles, but it may also benefit other printing situations where clearance is an issue. By making this adjustment, I've been able to print with more precision and accuracy. The original description of this part highlights its clever design, which allows it to slip into the lower edge of the left vertical carriage and trigger the end stop switch at a higher height. This prevents unwanted contact between the right carriage and the second motor support, ensuring smooth Z-axis movement. To install this part, simply slide the notch under the carriage plate, above the switch. Be sure to trim the shape to prevent contact with the vertical post and ensure proper fitting. If needed, add blue tape inside the notch for a tighter fit. **UPDATE** If you're experiencing similar issues, it's likely that your x-axis bar is not aligned correctly. The problem may be caused by a drooping right hand side bar. To fix this, loosen the two screws holding the z-axis gantry to the x-axis bar and adjust the height on the right hand side to match the left hand side. Use a leveling tool, such as mine, to make adjustments while the printer is auto-homed. Tighten the screws once you've achieved equal heights on both sides. It may take a few tries to get it just right, but the end result is well worth the effort.
