Creality CR-10S S5 Y-axis Sensor Mount
thingiverse
This is a y-axis (bed) sensor mount designed to allow the CR-10S S5 to reach its advertised physical limits of 500x500x500mm. As sold, the bed sensor mount cannot be located far enough back along the v-slot to permit the bed to reach 0,0,0 home coordinates. The stock sensor mount cuts the operating dimensions short by over 12mm, precluding me from printing at maximum volume and preventing auto-bed sensor leveling. To overcome this limitation, I have designed a new sensor mount that can be installed on every CR-10S S5 printer. Installing this mount will ensure that your printer can reach its full operating potential. Before installation, verify that your printer has the same issue as described above by holding the new sensor mount in place and observing the bed's range of motion. This will confirm whether the new mount will correct the problem for your printer. To install the new sensor mount, tap the end-hole of the v-slot to which the original sensor mount was affixed. I used a 10-32 tap and screw from my z-axis brace upgrade kit. The sensor is then screwed into the new mount using the original screws.
