Creality CR-10S, CR-10S4 Filament Sensor Upgrade
thingiverse
This is a upgrade for the Creality CR-10S, and its variants that have Filament Sensor. My Sensor's internal limit switch arm broke, and I kept getting false stoppages, so I changed it to a more reliable roller-arm limit switch. I designed it to use the stock Creality circuit board. You must remove the stock switch, and either de-solder the leads on the board, or snip them so it sits flat, you decide. Simply solder new wires from the board to the switch like the picture attached. Note: the top face of the circuit board is facing down as in the stock switch assembly. The lid is secured with a simple clip for easy access. I made the entry "nozzle" as a separate part so it could be printed in harder ABS or Carbon Fiber material to resist the wear of the filament grinding it away. You can then crazy glue it on the main body. We've all seen what the filament does to the sensor body in this area... A Teflon tube can be fitted to the exit side to your extruder arm's entry hole. Main Body bolts down by using the Z-screw Nut mounting screws Includes a wire harness for the X-axis wire loom Find the replacement roller limit switch here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XF977WM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Maybe a roller switch with a hinge on the arm would be more reliable.
