This two-piece part replaces and adds to the acrylic stock cover on the Creality CR-10's Z-axis lead screw. It lets you manually control the hot end up and down when steppers are disabled, which has proven to be very handy at times. For example, when loading filament or stopping a failing print, you can easily lift the hot end by hand to give yourself more working space and a better view of the piece. I have also added a bigger version of this part, which takes less spinning to manually move the hotend up and down. It is easily movable with just one finger. Thanks to Thingiverse user wonkoderverstaendige, I discovered that there was a tiny problem with the file of the big version. The knob floated 0.002mm above the stem, causing issues when sliced in certain ways. If your knob snapped, this might have been the reason. However, you should not experience any problems with the updated file. A simple video by me shows how the knob works: A quick and dirty video of the knob's functionality is available for viewing.
