Creality CR-10 V3 fix for filament sensor (workaround)
thingiverse
The CR10 V3 comes with the spool without enough height to allow the filament to enter the sensor at a smooth angle and it gets worse as the filament is used up. With the factory build the filament is almost horizontal to the sensor entry point. This is an extension to raise the height of the spool so that the filament goes in at a much softer angle. I used PETG 2 mm thick walls with 30% infill. The extension slides over the existing metal bracket. If effectively doubles the height of the metal bracket. * I used NO supports. Enable Bridging and make sure to place the longest side that is one piece down on the bed when slicing.
