Creality CR-10 use a Dial Indicator for Bed Leveling

This dial indicator mount for the Creality CR-10 sits directly in front of the extruder casing, allowing the fan to remain on. The mount consists of two parts that are securely glued together. A dial indicator is then fitted to the mount, which is subsequently pushed onto the extruder casing. FreeCad files are included so users can easily modify the parts. Dial indicators can be purchased for less than 10 Euros at Aliexpress. Some dial indicators may require an additional backplate to position them closer to the extruder. To automate the bed-levelling process, specific gcode is used. The gcode is best stored on a micro SD-card in the Creality, which can then be executed via the "Print from SD card" menu. ReptierHost does not handle the gcode well, but the old Pronterface did. During the leveling process, the Creality will emit a beep and display text messages as it moves. In each corner, the dial indicator will touch the bed, and users then have 15 seconds to level the bed. To verify that everything went smoothly, the dial indicator is lifted and touches the bed again within a 10-second time frame. The gcode is available in both one-pass and two-pass versions. During one pass, all four corners are visited in a diagonal pattern. Users can modify the gcode using a text editor and adjust settings such as temperature (set at 60 degrees Celsius for the bed and 195 degrees Celsius for the extruder).
