Creality CR-10 - Linear Mod MGN15 Template
thingiverse
This is a remix of this https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2792260. I first tried the MGN12H rails and they flexed a bit, so I decided to go bigger and use MGN15's instead. Keep in mind that you may need to upgrade your stepper motor to overcome the friction of the larger carriages. This bracket is a drill template to convert the CR10's (or equivalent dimensions) y axis 6 wheel guide system into two MGN15 linear rails, which will improve overall bed stability and eliminate the issue of wheel wear and tension loss. 1. Remove wheels from the existing system. 2. Line up the template with the wheel bolt holes for accurate positioning. 3. Temporarily secure the template in place using bolts. 4. Drill out the 16 carriage bolt holes to accommodate the new rails. 5. Remove the template and set it aside. 6. Carefully bolt the carriages into place, ensuring that the rails are evenly spaced on both ends. 7. Bolt the assembly to the existing frame for stability. 8. Attach the belt to complete the upgrade. 9. Your CR10's y axis is now upgraded to a smooth and stable MGN15 linear rail system.
