Creality CR-10 LCD Cover for Overnight Printing
thingiverse
This Thing is a modified version of my Anet A6 LCD Cover found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1926802. This slip-on LCD Screen Cover lets you print overnight without the harsh glare of the CR-10 screen lighting up your entire room. I had this problem in my 3-person apartment because there's limited space, and my printer is housed in my bedroom. The cover also fits neatly on top of your control box when not in use while leaving the USB and Micro SD ports accessible. I've included two models: a blank cover and a cover embossed with my initials for concept proof. Feel free to download the .step files and upload a remix as you wish, just remember to give credit. I'd love to see the amazing designs that come out of this. When using 15% infill, a small amount of light allows the cover to have a subtle glow, creating a neat lithophane effect. The amount of light showing through can be adjusted by increasing infill or using a darker color filament, although in my setup, it doesn't allow enough light through to notice. For printing with no supports and optimal light blocking, position the cover upside down on the print bed so the control knob cutout faces upwards. This orients the infill parallel to the screen and perpendicular to the emitted light.
