Creality Ball Bearing Filament Spool Holder
thingiverse
This is a filament spool holder I designed to work with my Creality Ender 3 V2. I wanted something easy to print, low profile and simple. The main structural element is a 3/8"x4" hex bolt (I had an extra one from a playset I put together). It uses inexpensive, commonly available 608 (skateboard) ball bearings to allow it to roll freely. To complete this you will need: 1x - 3/8"x4" hex bolt 1x - 3/8" flat washer 1x - 3/8" nylock nut 3x - 608 ball bearings "Rear_mount" and "Spool_A" are shown upside down in the images above. To assemble: Drop a bearing into the pocket in "Spool_A". Glue "Spool_B" to "Spool_A", trapping the bearing. Glue "Spool_trim" to the face of "Spool_A". The trim component is optional. I used 5 min epoxy to glue this assembly together. Assemble the spool holder in this order on the bolt: 1. Flat washer 2. "Front_mount" component 3. Creality spool holder bracket 4. "Rear_mount" component 5. 608 bearing 6. "Spacer" component 7. Spool assembly 8. "Spacer" component 9. 608 bearing 10. Nylock nut
